The 2015 Faith Fayre was attended by Bahá’í, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Muslims and many local residents.
Waltham Forest Mayor, Saima Mahmud, opened the event.
She said: “I have made the promotion of community cohesion a priority for my mayoral year.
“This was certainly an event where faith groups demonstrated that they share a common direction and sense of community.”
The event included a number of stalls with information about different faith groups and an exciting music programme shared between the different faith traditions. There was also Face Painting and lots of conversations between differnt faiths.
A Hindu member of the forum, Bhavanee Manogram, said: “With readings from the Quran, hymns, songs and recitals from the Hindus, Christians, Baha’i, and music with drums from the Hare Krishna group, all in all we had a very vibrant, uplifting and successful event.”
